Your privacy, clearly explained.
This notice describes what this edition of Torque Journal does with information when you browse, save a story or contact us.
Browsing the journal
The site serves articles, photographs and interface files. This edition does not include analytics, advertising trackers, account registration or a newsletter sign-up. Images and styles are hosted with the website, rather than embedded from a social network.
The hosting provider may process ordinary access information such as IP addresses, requested URLs, browser details and timestamps to deliver and secure the site. Its handling of those records depends on the provider used by the operator. This website does not make claims about retention settings outside its control.
Reading list and search
When you save an article, its identifier is stored in your browser’s local storage under the key torque-journal-saved. Bookmarks are not sent to an account or synchronised between devices. Remove a bookmark with the same save button, or clear this site’s browser storage to remove the full list.
Article search and filters run in your browser. Search words may appear in the page URL and therefore in browser history or hosting access logs if that URL is requested. The energy calculator performs arithmetic in your browser; its entries are not submitted by this edition.
Email correspondence
If you email shenyou689@gmail.com, the information you choose to send is handled through email services so the enquiry can be addressed. Do not include unnecessary sensitive data. You can use the same address to ask about your correspondence or request its deletion, subject to applicable obligations.
External sources
Source and image-credit links lead to other websites. Those websites have their own practices. Links open only when you choose to follow them; the journal does not embed their account or tracking widgets.
Changes to this notice
